Steve Schommer - President Steve Schommer is the President and CEO of Wavechange Logistics with more than 31 years of experience in logistics. His specific areas of expertise include negotiation strategies, transportation management, supply chain cost reductions and leveraging intellectual capitol. Steve is skilled at helping companies discover new and better ways to reduce cost and improve process in transportation logistics. Prior to Wavechange, Steve was with United Parcel Service for
25 years and held positions in National Accounts, Business Development, Operations
and Customer Service. While at UPS
Steve developed and negotiated service and rate agreements for thousands of
companies worldwide. He was responsible
for opening the first bi-lingual call
center in Quebec, Canada and developing the first Logistics Group deployed for
business development strategic planning.
While there he also custom designed the Asia Pacific Region training programs
for Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Taiwan. |

John Schommer - Vice President John Schommer joined Wavechange with over 40 years experience in multiple fields. His areas of expertise include training, systems visibility and data analysis for transporation modes and carriers. His technically orientated approach with attention to detail provides clients comprehensive metrics for savings, costs and control. The cornerstone of his knowledge and wisdom came from 21
years in the United States Air Force achieving the rank of Major. While serving in the military he instructed
pilots and navigators in the technical aspects of aviation. John has also developed and managed his own
fixed based airport operation. In addition his background includes 6 years
experience in Customer Service and Sales for Honeywell Industrial and 8 years sales
experience in the life and health markets. |

Bob Lunowa – Vice President, Supply Chain Solutions Bob Lunowa joined Wavechange Logistics with over 20 years experience in the domestic and International transportation and logistics industry. His primary area of experience encompasses strategic planning, sales negotiation, supply chain management and business process integration.
Prior to Wavechange, Bob spent 20 years with United Parcel Service holding positions in Major Accounts, National Accounts, Operations, Business Development, Sales Trainer and Corporate International Marketing Coordinator. He was also part of a team responsible for launching service to and from six South American countries as well as assisting in the development of UPS Worldwide Expedited Freight Service.
In addition, Bob served four years as President and CEO of a Multi-million dollar recreational product lines company and as a Region Manager for a leading U.S. sales and production company managing eight branch office locations throughout Wisconsin and Michigan.
Bob brings a broad range of experience across many fields having negotiated thousands of carrier contracts and bringing strategic support in helping companies experience improved profitability, cost reductions and process improvement efficiencies.

Steve DeFilippis – Vice President, Sales & Marketing Steve’s experience spans 30 + years of Sales & Marketing achievement in the parcel delivery, transportation, logistics and fulfillment industry. His background highlights strategic planning and infrastructure building for sales, operations, branding and marketing initiatives along with the direct sales of key strategic, national and global accounts.
Steve worked for United Parcel Service for 21 years, serving as Corporate Vice President managing the company’s direct sales, telesales and customer service operations. Additionally, Steve managed UPS’s strategic business units, including their corporate service measurement/service quality group, research & development, call center operations, quality improvement and sales/operations training company wide.
Steve served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Quad/Graphics subsidiary, Parcel Direct Logistics Inc.; a nationwide ground parcel expeditor serving the B2C transportation markets. Steve worked with U.S. & International catalog, E-commerce and logistics companies providing solutions to improve cost and client satisfaction. FedEx Corporation acquired Parcel Direct and later rebranded it FDX Smartpost.
Steve also served as Vice President & Partner, Sales and Marketing for Fulfillment Technologies, a priority fulfillment services company providing 3rd party logistics, fulfillment and customer service solutions to B2B and B2C clients. Steve was responsible for sales and marketing strategies, business planning, management and operational integration throughout the organization.
Steve additionally served as International Regional Sales Manager – National Accounts for DHL Express (US). He was responsible for providing tactical and strategic direction and direct sales for International product and offerings.
Prior to joining Wavechange Logistics, Steve served as Business Development Manager – Midwest Region for YRC Logistics (a wholly owned subsidiary of YRC Worldwide). He was responsible for providing end to end supply change solutions helping businesses automate and improve shipment planning, optimization, administration and overall supply-chain processes for domestic and international operations.
Steve is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, where he earned a B.S. in Journalism and from the Eli Broad Graduate School of Management, Michigan State University in Logistics. Steve and his wife Kristi and children reside in Hartland, WI.
